Tangram is the story of Kwikstaart, a girl born on the second planet of Keppler 62. She was born into 'Ons Volk', a hunter-gatherer society on the banks of the Renate.
After the colonization millenia ago, all civilizations on Keppler 62B have gone their own courses. The earthly origins have become a myth, if not totally forgotten. Two powers struggle for hegemony on the only continent on the planet. For various reasons, they are both very interested in the girl. Kwikstaart's life becomes a succession of kidnappings and escapes, taking her to all corners of the continent.
The underlying reason for all this is hidden in a puzzle that Kwikstaart must solve in order to free herself and the planet's inhabitants from a curse from the distant past.
Book 1 Between two Evils
Kwikstaart, a girl from a hunter-gatherer’s tribe, has been selected by an Imperial agent, but the
vrijbuiters of the Eendracht make sure to get to her first.
Book 2 Two Worlds
Kwikstaart has been put to work on an island of the Eendracht to help develop new technologies for their arms race. The imperial agent decides to intervene and kidnaps the girl back
Book 3 The Smith and the Baker
From the islands of the Eendracht, Kwikstaart
is forcibly transported to a Guild-City.
The guilds
of the city unified themselves against the guild of the Ironworkers. Kwikstaart
plays her own part in the insurrection
Book 4 The Western Kingdom in the East
Kwikstaart manages to escape the Guild-city. She finds her way to the Western Kingdom in the East.
A monk
takes her under his wings. One day he disappears
Book 5 Kantaar
Kwikstaart
follows the trail of the monk to the plateau of Kantaar.
The three
peoples of Kantaar have been expecting the end of times for the third
millennium already.

decided the waiting is over
Book 6 The Lows between the Highs
No
foreigners are welcome anymore in Kantaar. Not even Kwikstaart.
She is
invited to come to the Imperial capital voluntarily. Kwikstaart agrees and gets appointed to a
position where she assumes responsibility for the refugees from Kantaar.
In the
capital not all is well. It seems that the only solution is war.
Book 7 The End of an Era
A dispute
between two scientists over two thousand years ago is the root of the problems
in the capital.
An
experiment was designed to proof the truth of one of them. Kwikstaart has to
decide on the outcome of the experiment. And with it on the fate of the world.
